PE plastic packaging film select film-grade polyethylene particle, processed by blowing or casting to form fixed film shape with thickness of 0.002-0.3mm. PE film products mainly include LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, CPE, metallocene catalyzed polyolefin film and other raw materials. PE film products are divided into agricultural film products and packaging film products.
With the popularization of plastic packaging products, PE plastic packaging film occupies an increasing share in the market. Packaging film products are widely used in industrial packaging (such as household appliances, machinery, chemicals, building materials), agricultural packaging (such as corn straw, alfalfa and other silage), household and supermarket packaging (food, fruits, vegetables and other fresh-keeping) and other fields, with the characteristics of protecting commodities and facilitating flow, convenience of consumption, promotion of sales, etc.
Types of Packaging Film
Packaging film is the largest application area of LLDPE/LDPE, mainly in electronic, industrial, food shrinkage packaging film, winding packaging film, body-fitted packaging film, inflatable packaging film, high-progenitor permeability film, high-heat resistance film, selective osmosis film, fresh-keeping film, high and low pressure film, anti-static film, glass film, permeable film, casting film, composite film, stretching film, antimicrobial film, plastic shopping bag, retail packaging bags for commodities, food packaging bags and so on.
Polyethylene film is usually made by blowing and casting processes.
Cast polyethylene film has uniform thickness, but it is seldom used because of its high cost. At present, stretch film is widely used. Another kind of plastic flexible packaging material bubble film, is based on casting, adding plastic absorption process. Polyethylene blown film, which is made of blown PE particles, is the most widely used because of its low cost. LDPE blown film is translucent, glossy and soft film, with excellent chemical stability, heat sealing, water resistance and moisture resistance, freezing resistance and boiling ability. At present, it is the most widely used plastic packaging film, accounting for more than 40% of the consumption of plastic packaging film.
The most widely used packaging film
There are many kinds of shrinkage film, polyethylene shrinkage film is the most widely used shrinkage film. Compared with common polyvinyl chloride film and polypropylene film, polyethylene shrinkage film is non-toxic and can be applied to food packaging. It does not produce corrosive gases when sealed, and can be used to package commodities such as metal hangers. The toughness and low temperature brittleness of polyethylene shrinkage film are better than those of PVC and PP, with high thermal shrinkage rate, good storage stability, simple production process, low cost and easy recovery. The shrinkage film is easy to recover.
Fresh-keeping film is also one of the most used films. At present, there are fewer kinds of fresh-keeping films in China, but more and more kinds of fresh-keeping films are suitable for microwave heating and other functions. The amount of polyolefin fresh-keeping films will be increasing, and the development of stretch films and heat shrinkable films development is similar.
